There *AREN'T* any other games exactly like Ark. I used to get really angry about the bugs in Ark, so I left, and tried out every other similar game I could find. It is annoying that it's so big, but if I had to put my money on more games coming along soon that are just as big, or games getting and staying smaller, I'd bet on the first one. Think about the fact that yes there are games with better graphics and yes there are games with more content, but in reality there is nothing out there that combines everything Ark has into one. I would argue that most of the things said about bugs also apply to evaluating the size of Ark as a game. Why? Because without competition Steam has no reason to improve where it would cost money.This was posted by another poster in another thread a day or so ago. That said supporting Epic when you can means helping to Improve Steam. On Steam todays 10GB Ark patch will take about that long. Sad really over there I can download 50GB in under 30 minutes. You will find though if you go over to Epic Store their Downloads and Updates will run at the speed your ISP provides. Oh and never expect that a Steam download should run at anywhere near the speed you get from your ISP. Now you could try changing your Download Location Server through Steam/Settings/Downloads that can sometimes help a bit. When the very thing happened on my bran new out of the box 1TB SSD I knew Steam was full of it. Personally I have reported this to Steam, their response is it is my hardware. Ark, Atlas and a few other think Conan have a chance to inflate the size of the update past what it actually is. You should also know that you have to watch the patch size. That could be but you are not alone in the issue.
